In celebration of International Women’s Day, Wonders of Wildlife and local Girl Scouts are coming together for an educational “cookie crawl.” Guests can discover influential women in conservation and, of course, buy boxes of the beloved cookies.

The event will be at the Wonders of Wildlife National Museum and Aquarium on Sunshine this Saturday, March 12, from 6-8 p.m. The cookie crawl will include eight “sweet stops” of cookie sampling and educational experiences. 

​

Wonders of Wildlife wants to help its visitors advance their understanding of conservation by educating the public about impactful environmentalist women.

“We hope that guests will leave with a greater understanding of women’s often-overlooked role in conservation,” said Ciera DuBan, the social media specialist at Wonders of Wildlife. “But, above all else, we hope to inspire the next generation of conservationists. Just like Wonders of Wildlife, the Girl Scouts empower their audience to explore the great outdoors and help their community. Partnering with the Girl Scouts of Missouri Heartland helps us both reach a broader audience that aligns with our shared mission of making the world a better place.”

Boxes of cookies will be available for cash or credit purchase at the Girl Scout booth, including their new cookie Adventurefuls. Cookies are $5 a box and $6 for gluten-free options. There will also be discounted drinks available at the Fish Tales Café in the Aquarium Lobby.

Tickets can be purchased online or at guest services in the museum. Parent and child duo tickets are $35 and Girl Scouts can get discounted tickets through the Girl Scouts of Missouri Heartland. Discounted tickets are also available for Girl Scouts and their parents at guest services if Girl Scouts are in uniform.

Guests will check-in at the Wildlife Galleries entrance located at the top of the escalators inside Bass Pro Shops’ main entrance.
